Grade I listed city centre maisonette
Clair Strong Interior Design was hired to provide interior design services for this stunning ground and lower ground floor maisonette situated in the Kings Circus in Bath. The Circus is a historic ring of large townhouses, forming a circle with three entrances. Designed by architect John Wood, the Elder, it was built between 1754 and 1768. It is regarded as a pre-eminent example of Georgian architecture and is Grade I listed.
The light and airy apartment has living accommodation on the ground floor, and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the lower ground floor, with access to an exceptionally pretty garden recently designed by Rosie Nottage Garden Design.
Clair worked with architect, Duncan Lawrence from the Architecture Practice and provided design consultation on flooring, lighting, paint colours, ironmongery and architectural details including new ceiling roses and fireplace mantles to give this stylish city centre property a contemporary yet timelessly classic look.
